Data centers your infrastructure can rely on.

secunet cloud operates four highly secure data center locations in Germany—certified, climate-neutral, and with connectivity that ensures continuous availability.

The physical infrastructure determines digital sovereignty.

Cloud security doesn't end with encryption and access controls. Anyone running workloads that depend on availability, compliance, and control needs to know where and how the underlying infrastructure is operated.

With many cloud providers, it is unclear which data center the data is actually stored in and which operators and standards are involved.

Not every location meets the same safety and environmental standards. Inconsistent certification makes it difficult to provide evidence to auditors.

NIS-2, C5, and industry-specific requirements mandate robust evidence regarding physical security, power supply, and business continuity.

Architecture & Availability

Six locations, one uniform security standard.

secunet cloud operates six data center locations in four German cities. All of them meet recognized certifications for information security, quality management, and energy management. Redundant power supplies, controlled access systems, and fire protection systems ensure continuous operational security.

A state-of-the-art data center built in 2020 with a total area of approximately 7,400 m²—one of the most modern facilities in Europe.

Power Supply & Cooling

  • Operated with 100% green electricity
  • Completely separate, redundant power supply paths
  • PUE value below 1.3
  • Adiabatic cooling using only outside air

Standards & Security

  • EN 50600 Level 3
  • ISO 27001 in accordance with BSI Basic Protection
  • ISAE 3402 Type 2
  • 24/7 security service and access control system

Modular design for resource-efficient, customized scalability even during operation.

Over 16 years of operational experience with multiple highly available, redundantly designed data centers under the CarrierColo brand. Two locations are connected to each other in an active-active configuration via a dedicated, redundant fiber-optic ring; a third location expands local capacity.

Power Supply & Network

  • Operated with 100% green electricity, carrier-neutral
  • Centralized UPS with battery power and static bypass for each power feed
  • Emergency power generators with fuel reserves for at least 24 hours at full load
  • Dedicated fiber-optic ring between locations, up to 320 Gbit/s per link

Standards & Security

  • ISO 27001 since 2016, in accordance with BSI Basic Protection
  • Annual service quality audits
  • Distance between sites according to BSI recommendations for georedundant setups
  • Peering at DE-CIX, BCIX, and AMS-IX

With global hyperscalers, it is often unclear which operator is actually implementing which standard at which location. secunet cloud makes the location, certification, and operating model traceable for each of the six data centers individually.

Certifications that count during audits.

Each location holds the certifications relevant to its operations. Overall, secunet cloud meets the infrastructure requirements that customers in regulated industries place on their infrastructure—from information security to quality and energy management to industry-specific operational standards.

The certifications are regularly audited by external parties and are available upon request for compliance and bidding processes.
