Who This Is Relevant For
For Whom a Self-Reliant Red Hat Makes a Difference

Three perspectives on the same partnership, depending on where Red Hat fits into your own operations.

Target Audience

In tenders for sovereign modernization projects, certifications such as IT-Grundschutz and BSI C5 are required. secunet cloud provides these certifications without the need to establish them yourself.

Target Audience

Specialized processes used daily by government agencies and citizens require an infrastructure that can scale to meet growing demands without compromising the sovereignty of the underlying cloud.

Target Audience

Audits require verifiable certifications, not just assurances. Operating on an infrastructure that is already certified makes it much easier to provide this proof.

How It Works
Existing Red Hat Subscriptions Remain Valid

As a Red Hat Validated Cloud Service Provider, secunet cloud runs Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift directly on its own OpenStack cloud in Germany. Existing Red Hat subscriptions can continue to be used, including full Red Hat support; switching infrastructure providers does not require renegotiating licenses. In addition, consulting and operational services are available as managed services. Looking ahead, secunet is preparing to make Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift available in the SINA Cloud as well, for workloads with a VS-NfD classification.

Why secunet cloud
Location flexibility, freedom of choice, and verified security

A certificate alone does not make for a secure cloud. What really matters is what’s actually behind it.

Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift without having to replace the existing OpenStack infrastructure.

One of the few independent providers with this validation in the German-speaking world.

The underlying OpenStack infrastructure is Sovereign Cloud Stack-certified and open source. Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift run on it, licensed as usual, without the underlying infrastructure itself becoming proprietary.

Integration into secunet’s portfolio of highly secure cloud solutions, with direct alignment to the BSI’s requirements.
