Planning the Target Architecture

- Setup of the Target Environment: Initialization of the new cloud setup with VMs, resources, products, and services.
- Data Transport: Encrypted transfer of data from the legacy data center or a third-party cloud via secure connections.
- Tool-Based Replication: Background synchronization to reduce final downtime to just a few minutes.
- Test Migration: Test runs in the STAG environment for validation under real-world conditions.
- Cutover: Switching the DNS entries and final go-live in the secunet cloud.
After Migration
- Right-Sizing: Verifying whether allocated resources such as CPU and RAM are actually needed to avoid overcapacity.
- Fine-Tuning: Reviewing product and service settings as well as regular backups, optionally including a disaster recovery test.
